Job Summary:
A Payroll Administrator/Onboarding specialist is responsible for supporting the day-to-day payroll functions. We’re looking for someone who can provide high-quality work while working efficiently. This position will report to the Director of Business Enablement.
Responsibilities:
- Complying with Employment Canada guidelines for payroll preparation
- Maintaining all payroll functions (processing pay runs, new hires, terminations, and journal entries)
- Preparing bi-weekly reporting and remittances for two entities
- Providing and maintaining onboarding documents
- Administrating employee benefits
- Providing reports from the payroll system as requested by management
- Creating T4 slips and ROEs
- Maintain and safeguard employee information
- Add value by creating and enhancing processes
Qualifications:
- Payroll designation or post-secondary education (or working towards certification)
- 3+ years of related experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products
- Proficient with ADP
- Working knowledge of payroll tax requirements and taxable benefits
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Must be flexible and able to adjust to changing workloads and tasks
- Strong attention to detail
